Whether you’re a regular toker or a newbie, you are most likely searching for new ways to enjoy your herb.I will quickly outline the basic and common ways to smoke your weed. Stay tuned, I will be highlighting interesting ways to smoke your weed in weeks to come.

Fun Joints

First and foremost: the joint. Joints can be rolled in a variety of different ways including the straight joint, cone, combined joint and tulip. I recommend the use of cigarette rolling paper which can be found at your closest corner store. The smoke intake is smooth, however it does burn quickly. Your clothes and hands will most likely smell of weed, and you must watch out for canoeing.

Blunts

The process is very similar to a joint. The weed must be rolled using blunt papers made of tobacco (sometimes flavoured) and the hits canbe harsh due to the large amount of weed. Blunts burn much slower compared to joints and are therefore perfect for larger groups.

Pipes

These are great for on the go smoking. No need for pesky rolling skills and are easy to carry in pockets or purses. They are quick and great for sharing and passing. Be careful not to break the pipe, as they are most commonly made of glass.

Water Bongs

There are a few different types of water bongs: plastic, ceramic, and glass. Plastic bongs are convenient because they do not easily break. Once you’re stoned, your senses are lowered, causing bongs to shatter from carelessness. Unfortunately, smoking from plastic bongs is not recommended due to the plastic residue which can be found in the water. Ceramic bongs are mostly ornamental; they usually break easily and are not as convenient to clean. Glass bongs are ideal. They deliver smooth and natural hits and are the most common bong used. They are built in all shapes and sizes but, remember, the bigger the bong, the more smoke it can hold, therefore take your time hitting bowls with a new bong. The disadvantages of glass bongs include the possibility of breaking and bulkiness.

The Hookah

Hookahs are great tools because they let multiple people to smoke all at once. They allow you to burn the weed on top while we inhale from long plastic tubes. Hookahs tend to use more weed than necessary, therefore it is not very useful for large groups.

Homemade items

You and your friends can make your own pipe or bong with objects found in or around your home. By doing a few Google searches, you will find a multitude of different items including beer cans, apples, water bottles, etc. They are excellent for when no one has a paper or bong, however they only tend to be good for once or twice. Begin by experimenting with your apparatus and making sure it is working properly, you might have to make minor adjustments.

Tips & Tricks To Improve A Bong Hit

Here are a few tips i'd like to share with you to ensure that you get a decent hit from your bong.

- To ensure a nice fresh hit, keep your bong chilled in a fridge to ensure a nice cool, fresh hit (do not put a glass bong in the freezer as it may well crack).

- Twist your bowl in tightly to ensure an air tight seal for a more direct bong hit and ensure the gasket isn't broken.

- Change the bong water every session.

- Pack your bowl tightly with bud and poke a hole through the middle with a toothpick so the bud burns well and the smoke has a direct route through the bong.

- If you lose the rubber grommet from your bong you can use an elastic band or blue-tack to seal up the gap.


- Clean your bong regularly

Design

Using it

Da Bong Game

Firstly i'd like to say this is the first game that i ever invented. It's 'breath taking', adds an element to bong hits and get's you very high guaranteed. (Not a guarantee)

You can either fabricate the multipipe bong like i have or you can purchase a communal 4 pipe bong from this link: Multipipe bongs

To make  this bong you will need:

- A 4litre or bigger bottle
- 2.5 meters of thin gas pipe or similar
- A large bong bowl preferably from a shisha/hookah pipe
- The plastic seal bit from the shisha/hookah bowl
- A Lighter
- Scissors
- Screwdriver
- Bluetack  to seal and make air tight

1. Cut the gas pipe into 4 equal half meter pieces.

2. Heat up the screwdriver with the lighter and melt 4 equal sized holes, equally spaced apart about a quarter of the way down the bottle.

NOTE:Make sure the holes are a little bit smaller than the circumference of the gas pipe  as it needs to be a tight squeeze.

3. Force/Insert 4 of the sections of gas pipe into the 4 holes and seal round the edges with bluetack for extra airtightness.

4. Fill the bong about a third to halfway with water.

5. Stick the gummy (rubber seal) into the bottom of the bowl then stick the final piece of gas pipe into the gummy.

NOTE: This should be airtight. If not plug it up with a little bluetack. It won't melt as the bowl is ceramic (a good insulator)

6. Use the scissors to cut the top of the bottle off until the new bong bowl fits snugly. Cut off any excess pipe if necessary.

7. Fill the bowl with weed and prepare for the game.

Da Bong Game

There should be four of you each sitting at the end of a pipe connected to huge bong packed full of some yummy weed.

- Light the bong and everyone should be toking and toking hard.
NOTE: There is no time limit to toking either until your lungs are full or until the weed is gone.

-The fun bit. The aim of the game is to be the last one to let out all your smoke but you can not hold it in. As soon as you take your lips come off the pipe you must start exhaling.
NOTE: Exhale slowly

You cough you loose.

Still blowing out smoke and no one else is? You win!

It's a test of lung capacity and marijuana tolerance.

How to make an Apple Bong

The apple bong is good for so many reasons;

- Don't have a bong?!
- Missing a piece of your bong?!
- Have no rizla?!
- Need some extra flavour in you bong hit?!

If the answer to any of the above is yes and you don't have a bong or rolling paper available, this is the perfect opportunity to go for an apple bong.

To make the marijuana apple pipe you will need:

-An apple!
-Some nice buds of marijuana
-A knife / screwdriver
-A lighter

1. Take the stalk out of the top of the apple as this divet is going to act as the bowl. If it's a big enough bowl for you, use the knife to carve out a bigger bowl.

2. Poke the screwdriver through the 'bowl' until it penetrates about halfway through the apple. This is the pipe.

3. Poke another hole in a similar fashion through the side of the apple until it meets the end of your first hole, as shown in the picture. This will be the pipe you smoke through.

4. Put some fat nugz of weed in the divet, light and smoke.

Enjoy some of the fruity flavoured weed smoke!

You can fabricate an apple to hold a spliff and create an 'Apple Spliff Bong'.

This is a dragon bong purely because it is shaped like a dragon.

Making one is a simple as attaching four home-made bongs together and making sure it's air tight.

They are pretty cool.

How to make a gravity bong

Gravity bongs are one of the best ways to bong weed. They work using a vacuum and gravity. The water in the bottle leaks out the bottom of the bottle pulling air through the top of the bottle to replace the water except rather than air, the vacuum is sucking some ice weed with a lighter over it. :)

To make a gravity/bucket bong you will need:

- A 2 litre plastic bottle
- A bucket full of water
- Scissors/knife
- Foil
- Some ice weed!

- Start making your bong by cutting the bottom of the bottle off.

- Next make a bowl out of the foil by replacing the lid of the bottle with it and making a few holes in it.


- Take the foil piece while you fill the bong with water otherwise the water pressure will blow it off (with the weed). Immerse the bottle into the bucket of water (as shown in the diagram).


- Fill the foil with weed like you would a standard Roor bong.


- Place your foil bowl on top of the bottle.


- Hold your lighter over the weed in the bowl while slowly pulling the bottle out of the water and you will see a thick cloud of smoke pulling through.


- Only pull the bottle 3/4 of the way out soo as not to let all the smoke out of the bottom. (make a marking on the bottle if you are unsure)


- Remove the bowl from the top of the bottle bong and hit that shit!
